Who’s your favourite NookaNooka artist?

If any of you guys are going to be at MidValley Megamall this weekend, try to look out for the new H5 Black Lab pop-up store (FK-04, First Floor – near the Penang Village entrance). There, you’ll see 20 heavily made-up NookaNooka figurines designed by local artists.

Those of you not in the know, Nooka is one of the latest pop-art inspired brands to come to KL. I have a Nooka watch myself and love, love, love it. I blogged about it here.

Anyway, H5 is running a contest to let you guys win a Nooka Zub series watch, worth RM559. All you need to do is check the NookaNooka designs out and vote for your Top 3 designs. If you correctly predict the three most popular designs (but you have to be accurate lah and say which will get #1, #2 and #3), the watch is yours!

I was there the other day and I selected these (but don’t let my decision sway you, although … *ahem* if you all vote for the same ones as me and influence the vote, I might win a watch too! hehe).

This one is called Tekhka and designed by art:tech. My first choice. I love how fine the drawing is.

Actually, this one – Kodama – by meowee is my favourite. But I didn’t think many people would vote for it, so I put it as my second choice. I love the attention to detail with this, and so creative!

Drag on face is the name of this one. So smart the artist bibichun play on the word “dragon”. It looks pretty plain and simple at first but I like how its simplicity is contrasted to that little bit of texture.

Anyway, there are 20 for you to choose from. You can also check them out here, but best to check it out in person lah. I think the impression is very different, if I do say so myself.

There is this other one I wanted to share with you here. It’s called the Forest Warrior, and designed by Kenji Chai from Black Fryday.

I didn’t vote for it but I was there with Tong, Yun, Joyce and Kevin, and they all seemed to have a certain preference for this. So maybe it will have a good chance of getting into the top 3. Then again, if it does, I won’t win the watch. Hrm.
