What to expect from Short+Sweet Malaysia Theatre tonight

Update: Opening night last night went well. Had some friends there supporting, so it was always good. There were many technical problems with my first piece in terms of lighting and sound cues but I thought the second piece went rather well. Hopefully the judges, and audience, felt the same way.

On another note, I got a couple of messages about my appearance in Alamak! Did anyone watch it? Let me know if you did, would like to know what you thought of it and which sketch of mine they featured!

Me, of course. And a double dose too! Yup, I’m in two plays for week one of the Short+Sweet Theatre festival. We had a dress rehearsals yesterday in time for opening night tonight, so I thought I’d share a couple of pics … to entice you to come watch and er, vote for me (there is an audience choice element!).

This is a picture of me being a total douchebag to Hana Nadira in A Play Regarding A Chance Encounter. It is directed by James Wu (from whom I stole both the above pictures from!) and written by Kevin Larken. I get to wear a hat on stage! Hehe

ALAMAK!

On a different note, today, I will also apparently (the producer said so, so I believe him) appear in Alamak! I first blogged about it a while ago after completing the publicity photoshoot for it, and tonight the comedy skit show will premier on Astro Ria (channel 104) at 9.30pm tonight (August 5).

I won’t get to watch it because of my show so please tell me how silly I looked? I’m not sure which skit of mine they will be showing (I am in about 4-5 throughout the season) but here is a picture we took after one in which I play a pirate DVD seller!
