About Me

 

Niki Cheong is a full-time journalist, part-time theatre practitioner and eternal child. He is also known as The Bangsar Boy, a reference to his fortnightly column in Malaysia’s leading English daily, The Star.

He holds two degrees - BA in Media and Information (specialising in Print Journalism and Film & TV) as well as BA Internet Studies (Thesis title: Malaysiakini.com: New(s) Media and Democracy in Malaysia) - both of which he obtained from Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia. The final year of his first degree was completed thanks to a scholarship from the University.
