I don’t know about what everyone else thought, but Twestival KL was a blast! Okay, so I might be biased but I had great fun!
First, I want to thank the organising committee who worked so hard to make the event a success. Thanks @ling_chan @davidlian @suanie @radianceleong @eevon and @nigelais for everything. Thanks to @willsquah and @elainedaly. Thanks to Sharon and Devan for putting us in touch with Destiny Starting Point. Thanks to Pastor Stephan Samuel, his wife Graceline and the kids from the home for letting us into their lives. And to our many, many sponsors – all listed at the Twestival KL blog.
I won’t say too much about the event but you can see all the tweets about it here – at least those with the #TwestivalKL hashtag. I am just so grateful that we managed to collect WAY more than we initially planned. We just wanted RM3,000 for a computer and Internet access for the home but suddenly, we got two desktop computers pledged to the home plus RM10,000 cash!
This is from the generosity of all those present, so thank you very much.
It’s late and I’m exhausted but thought I’d share a picture (no taken by me, obviously, posing with some of my many friends who were there. This is my first @smashpop jump – I look so cacat! But it summed up how I felt at the night – jubilant. Thanks all!
