Those of you who have read some of my post might have realised by now that I consider Malacca my kampung. However, it’s actually my dad’s hometown. I was born in Selangor but raised in Bangsar. But it’s quite lame to tell people that my kampung is Bangsar, so I always say Malacca.

Yesterday, I spent new year’s day in Malacca for a family function. My granduncle – the younger brother of my paternal grandfather – was celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary to my grandaunt. Their children Stanley, Margie and Lively Larry had put together a party to celebrate the occasion.
