Rocking out at Urbanscapes!
Jun 29, 2008 Events
What a day! Lots happened today (including finishing my taxes, which btw, is not finished yet) but the highlights had to be Urbanscape, then a nice foot reflexology with Elaine and Hansen and then yummy dinner at HSBC (the restaurant, not the bank).

Live art? Haha
We didn’t stay too long at the event held in KLpac, just a few hours, but it was fun enough. I managed to catch Estanged’s act (yes, I’m still a groupie), spent some time at The Marketplace, catch up with friends and of course, Rob!

I really liked a lot of the installations on display.
Yup, Project Rob - RA’s latest project - happened at Urbanscapes today and the victim was Adrian Yap - the publisher of KLUE and the other magazines they, umm, publish. It was quite cool, some of us were wearing RA’s new line of T-Shirts (should be on sale soon) and we got people at various points to ask people if they had seen Adrian. Then people started shouting along - Adrian! Adrian Yap! Adrian!
It was quite funny! :)
There were so many things happening at Urbanscapes though, so I got lost midway through but I enjoyed myself (although it was hot beyond belief)! And parking was crazy too! Madness!
But anyway, yeah, it was nice seeing so many people there, and I shot quite a few photos too.

Ohh, Adam so sexy. Must be from when he was secretly in love with me.
With Jin and another friend I don’t remember the name. Soz!

Moët Rosé Indulgence Party
Jun 6, 2008 Events
So last night was rather interesting. I was going to pick my cousin Elaine up to head over to the Moet Rose Indulgence Party (yes, the champagne Moet & Chandon) when, as usual I was late. So, I broke every driving law possible sped home from work only that, well, I didn’t have to ‘cos the roads were clear.
This was strange for me because at about 7pm every day, the road leading up to Bangsar is always jammed up. And then as I was getting ready to rush to pick her up, the roads to her house were clear too!
Coincidence? Or were there really less cars on the road (possibly because of the fuel hike?).
Anyway, so while I thought we were going to be late, we actually got there on time. The party was held at Pavilion, KL, and it was quite the party. As, of course, you would expect from a champagne party. They served us baby bottles of champagne, with a flute attached to it so it was easier to drink. So cute!

The theme, to go with the Moet Rose, was pink and many people did dress up for the occasion. Many familiar faces too (and made some new acquaintances) but I can’t put up photos on here, because, in case you can’t tell, I don’t have a habit of putting my own face on my blog (I leave that to Facebook) but I did upload some onto my Flickr page.

So, in case you didn’t know that I’ve officially become a groupie of local band Estranged, I had to put a photo of its drummer Andy up, in the picture above with Adam “Karat” Carruthers (who, as I tell the world over and over again, used to secretly fancy me). Below, Carmen Soo in a picture with Geetha Anandarajan from Talent Factory and Stephanie Chai.

Also there were, of course, Elaine Daly, Gillian Hung, Daphne Iking, Rubin Khoo, Kid Chan, Magie Abang Saufi, Izlyn Ramli, Ethel Cho, Serena C, KinkyBlueFairy Joyce, Ariez Khairudin, Wahti Mahidin, Adam Lee, John Lim, Kevin Yeoh, Muna Noor, Jade Yong, Yun WenLai, Divya, Debbie Chan, Joel Victoria and Reena Tan. These are the people I know and can remember lah.
Thanks to Wei, Amri, Adeline, Choon et al for a blast! :)
