Questioning Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai

Events

Morning folks. I’m up early today because I have to soon rush over to Studio V in 1-Utama to help set up for The Star Online’s second LiveChat with a Minister. About a month ago, I helped to operate the CoverItLive system for the online interview with Datuk Dr. Maximus Ongkili on his role as Minister of Science Technology and Innovation as well as issues on the Internet.

Today’s guest is Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, and the topic will of course be Influenza A(H1N1).

The Star Online Live Chat

The Minister is expected to arrive about 9ish for a video interview (the plan is to upload the video ASAP) but the audio version of the interview would be up pretty soon – hopefully while the live chat will be going on. Like last time, we have some poll questions for you to vote on and will be posing him questions that we received via a callout in The Star Online yesterday.

Of course, it’s a LiveChat so those of you who come on will get a chance to pose your questions. I myself have a few (four deaths in Malaysia so far!) but we’ll let you guys do the asking. Heh. :) I am not the moderator of the chat but from experience, we won’t be able to put through all the questions (we had almost 1,000 the last time, if I remember correctly).

I’ll be activating the chat at about slightly after 10.15am, although the interview is scheduled to go on for an hour from 10.30am. You can click here to go to the LiveChat page.

See you there!

  1. [...] I’m not sure why my article I submitted on Thursday did not make the pages of StarMetro today for my fortnightly column The Bangsar Boy. Maybe there was no space, or my article was a little late – I spent the morning of my day off helping out The Star Online with the livechat with Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai. [...]
