My new Canon S90
Those of you following me on Twitter would have seen this already. I have a new toy! Yes, yes, maybe I’m showing off but if you spent the kind of money I did on something like this, you’d be talking about it too!

In case you were wondering, I did not use it to take that picture above.
I used my iPhone instead … which explains why the picture quality not-so-the-very high.
Just after I went to collect it, my colleagues called me to join them for lunch and we went over to Oriental Pavilion in Jaya 33. It is was the favourite dim sum place for Ivy and I, even though it is rather expensive. I was quite excited as this was probably the perfect place for me to test out my new camera.
Look how great the picture below is (if I do say so myself). Okay lah, I’ve not learned how to use the camera yet so everything looks a bit funny but I loves it!

Oh yeah, did you pick up on the crossed out “is” a few paragraphs ago? Well, you’re right (oh, you perceptive people out there!), it is related to that little creature moving about on our plate of wu kok. How about a close-up then?

Er, so yeah, I don’t think we’ll be heading back there for any of our meals anytime soon ever. But please allow me to rant. I think it’s quite shocking to see the state of our service industry. The staff just took it away when we complained about it, without doing anything.
It was only when we made some noise that they offered to replace that dish. It was a baby roach. Where’s the nest that it came from? We called for the manager, who took so long to address the issue and all he could say is, “Sorry, we didn’t do it on purpose”. Then he proposed giving us a 10% discount. A long silence, and lots of glaring after, and he said we didn’t have to pay for the meal. As it should be really, considering the fact that if we had seen it earlier, we wouldn’t have eaten a single dish of food.
Okay, done with the venting. And since MrRoach isn’t the purpose of this post – my new camera is – I’ll share another shot I took of it, this time with MrDaddy (i.e. my dad). Damn cute.
