Journey to the airport

Trips

So, I was in KLIA today (well, yesterday since it’s technically past midnight). I was walking around with NicoleKiss, who is on the trip with me, when I noticed the entrance to the Rainforest area in the satellite terminal.

Anyway, since I have a new camera, I was itching to use it so I took a walk out there to check it out. It was warm and humid, I didn’t even know it was an open air area. Fail! I suppose it must be heaven for smokers although I’m not even sure its a smoking area. I really liked it though.

So, yes, the reason why I was in KLIA (I’m in Changi Airport, Singapore, now for transit) is that I am going on a trip. I’m not gonna announce just where right now, so you’ll have to hang on. Or head to Twitter and look for hints. Haha I guess another reason is because we’re flying Singapore Airlines, which I’m really happy about because I haven’t flown it in years.

The plane actually looks nicer (and more canggih) than many others that I’ve flown on over the past few years.

Anyway, I’ll get to the purpose of this post. It really isn’t to action that I am traveling again (I’ll leave the pictures of the place I’m visiting to do that). Just that I was sitting on the KLIA Express earlier when I came across an ad on the TV screen promoting its Go Green Go Lo-Co2 campaign.

It basically says that “by choosing KLIA Express, you have helped reduce the amount of carbon emitted by cars. Together, we help remove 3.5 million cars off the roads every year.”

Well, glad to help. I was also given the piece of cardboard below when I purchased my ticket.

Go Lo-Co

Going green huh? Hmm … er, I hope that was printed on recycled paper.

What type of camera r u using right now? Anyways, ‘by choosing KLIA Express, you have helped reduce the amount of carbon emitted by cars. Together, we help remove 3.5 million cars off the roads every year.’ statement? Hmm, I was skeptical on it. Is it true?

I’m not sure. It is possible since traffic to the airport can be quite heavy. But not so environmentally friendly to print out cards announcing it lah.

KLIA went through some reno and changes. If you have time to hang out, you can try OldTown white coffee at Level 3 Contact Pier and if you smoke cigars, there’s a cigar lounge at Satellite building. Eventhough I’m at KLIA almost every week, I have not tried the Jungle walk! haha… have fun!
