Fasting begins on Saturday

In case you haven’t heard, our Muslim brothers and sisters in Malaysia will begin fasting for Ramadhan tomorrow, August 22. This is according to the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Engku Tan Sri Ibrahim Engku Ngah.

Bernama reports that this was announced over TV1 on Thursday night “that the date was fixed with the consent of the rulers”.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone across the globe and who will be fasting

This especially goes out to my two sisters, two brother-in-laws and one niece and one nephew. And no, you kids should not expect any goodies for fulfilling your fasting obligations. Big already!
